St Luke’s CE Primary school:
School Vision and Values: Sept 25
As a Church of England primary school, our values and ethos place our children at the heart of all we do, enabling them to feel safe, nurtured, respected and included within our community.
We celebrate diversity, develop resilience and build trust in one another. Together we enjoy our learning on each day, we encourage and develop creativity, and we inspire everyone to achieve and have faith for a better tomorrow and a fulfilling future ahead.
"For I know the plans I have for you.....Plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

At St Luke’s CE Primary school, our children...
- respect each other, the school environment and themselves
- are always polite to each other
- always work hard and to the best of their ability
- play safely and thoughtfully
- strive to be good ambassadors for the school and the wider community in which we live and serve
Based on the Christian values of compassion, courage and respect.
At St Luke’s:
- we believe that compassion is about ‘standing in someone else’s shoes’ when they are having a hard time. In other words, we follow God’s teachings by trying to understand how they might be feeling and doing our best to try to help.
- we learn from God about the importance of treating others with respect even if we sometimes do not agree with the way they behave or the things they say. We also consider how we should treat the things that belong to us and to other people respectfully.
- we show courage because God asks us to be brave in the face of hardship. We stand against injustice and to be the best we can be when things are difficult. We have courage to stand by our beliefs and are committed to what is right and true.
